  Could you be a little more specific about waht you've tried.  The
 first thing I'd suggest is that you try using rinse without xen-tools,
 if that works then the remaining problem(s) should be simple to fix.

  If you run:

          rinse --distribution fedora-core-6  --directory=/tmp/xxx --arch=i386 

  Do you end up with a workable chroot in /tmp/xxx ?  If not then I
 would imagine the failure of xen-tools is really a failure of the
 bootstrapping process.  If you do then we can look at it.

  Also I'd be curious to know:

    1.  What is your host system (distro, version, arch)?

    2.  What version of rinse + xen-tools are you running?

  If you have a logfile to share please place it online and share
 a link to it - rather than appending it to a mailing list post!
