   If you do get the chance I'd certainly appreciate it.  Even just
  confirming that it is sarge's debootstrap which is incapable of
  delivering an Etch system.

  I'm not 100% sure what to do with this, short of always installing
 udev, or just leaving it as a suggestion for the documentation.
