Great! This is how I personally would preffer recieving patches,
esepcially when it's as many as you have. This way they don't just
get lost on the mailing list.

Yes git makes it easy! Also everyone who looks at our upstream will
most likely see your branch! Thats the reason Axel and I looked for
a service like gitorious to host the upstream.
