Hi Nathan,
I'm happy to see a fork of xen-tools at gitorious, especially one with
new ideas and views.
I allowed myself to cherry-pick most of your changes into the
xen-tools master repository and added some documentation to it.
About some of them I already thought myself (the /dev/pty warnings :-)
and others fix problems I haven't noticed myself until now
(/etc/localtime for example).
The only commit where I'm not sure how helpful it would be for a wider
group of users is the disabling of plymouth. While I can imagine that
plymouth doesn't make much sense in a DomU, I didn't have noticed any
problems with it. OTOH I don't use Xen's VNC feature (yet).
So if you think that fix is useful for most of the users and should be
included in xen-tools, I'd be happy if you could explain the pronlem
it solves a little be more detailed.
P.S.: Welcome to the xen-tools-dev list. :-)
Kind regards, Axel
