Hi,

for some reason I always thought, commit 90e97b05 (Temporary fix for
disk device checks) was more or less a revert plus fix of commit
a79d89ad (Mount partitions by "shortest mountpoint" order.) since we
IIRC found out later that a79d89ad was without effect(*).

So I didn't include commit 90e97b05 in the 4.2.1 release. Today the
bug which is fixed by commit 90e97b05 got reported in Debian (against
4.2): http://bugs.debian.org/621499

Unfortunately it needed that bug report to make me realize what nasty
bug Stephane fixed back then and I'm sorry that I didn't include that
patch in 4.2.1. It will definitely be included in the next release
which I current plan to name 4.2.2, as it very likely will be another
bugfix release.

(*) The issue we tried to fix with commit a79d89ad IIRC was never the
cause of the bug we thought we nailed down there (Stephane: Please
correct me, if I'm wrong here):

    http://xen-tools.org/pipermail/xen-tools-discuss/2010-October/000862.html

We should probably have a fresh look at that whole issue again.
It's possibly also related to http://bugs.debian.org/609673.

		Kind regards, Axel
