[xen-tools-dev] Potential new dependency for xen-tools: Run::Parts

Hi,
because it may cause headaches for people packaging xen-tools (Cc'ing
Dario for that explicitly) or using git checkouts, I'd be happy about
comments with regards to the following idea:
For two other projects I wrote a Perl module called Run::Parts
(https://metacpan.org/release/Run-Parts) and I noticed that the
functionality it offers is also present in xen-tools (handling hooks
and roles directories) in its own implementation and ogle with
replacing xen-tools' own implementation with the module one.
librun-parts-perl is in Debian Unstable since very recently so adding
it as dependency wouldn't hurt Debian. (Well, backports of xen-tools
would need that package then, too, but that's doable without much
effort.)
I though fear that it may hit other distribution as I don't expect
Run::Parts to be packaged already anywhere else.
Dario: Do you know if there's such thing like the Debian Perl Team
(which maintains > 2500 Perl Modules in Debian and can do a lot of
common package maintenance on all packages with more or less one
commit) or would you have to find someone to maintain that dependency
in Fedora, too?
Kind regards, Axel
