Thanks again for the detailed answers. I have another problem now. How do I dynamically increase the size of the disk image? Is this possible? That is, I first create say 1Gb disk as root, and then I later want to increase it to 2GB. How do I go about it? Vmware has a tool called as vdisk-manager.pl which can do this, but it takes a lot of time. Is there some simple way to change the main disk size?

 thanks.
