As for error checking: just hit ctrl-c accidentally(which should be
caught and handled correctly),  that is stupid, but the effect can
happen i a lot of other situations: vm building stops, I have lvm
volumes, which are still mounted, but no config file.

One step ahead would be if I had at least the config file, so
xen-delete-image would work, better would be really check for all
errors, including ctrl-c, and remove everything when the whole process
doesn't finish nicely.
(alternatively, with some --debugging option, the config is generated,
but nothing deleted, so I can look into things what happened, and
maybe even try to start the vm to see whats missing)
