  A bug.  I think that this is because "debootstrap" is failing.

  Please try re-running the create command with --verbose
 and having seeing if that shows something useful.

  Double-check your "mirror=" setting, and make sure your image
 isn't getting too full.  (Run "df" on your mounted image).

  That might be useful, just in case it was something fixed, but
 we should be able to figure it out anyway.
