  I think it would be, I know that LVM is better than loopbacks
 albeit not always by much.

  Agreed.  I'm happy to add such support, but I'm not sure how soon
 it will come.  (Mostly on the grounds that I can't test this.  I have
 no systems with spare partitions to mess around with...)
