There have been several recent changes to the way the
various xen projects have been managed, and now it is time
to explicitly describe and document them.
* The CVS repositories have been removed, and replaced
with mercurial ones. (With no loss of history.)
* The *-commit mailing lists have been moved to a new host.
(With no loss of history.)
* The user mailing list will shortly be renamed and moved too.
(With no loss of history.)
If you do nothing you will be removed from all current mailing
lists - which is probably the safest thing I can do. I don't want
to force people to migrate and receive messages unless they wish to.
CVS "Upgrade"
-------------
The CVS repository has been removed and all future work
is going to be conducted via Mercurial.
There are now live repositories at the following links:
http://rinse.repository.steve.org.uk/
http://xen-shell.repository.steve.org.uk/
http://xen-tools.repository.steve.org.uk/
These repositories contain all previous history, in addition
to ongoing changes.
To checkout the rinse repository, for example, just run the
following:
hg clone http://rinse.repository.steve.org.uk/
Commit Lists
------------
Since the repository is moved away from the previous domain
the lists have been moved to match.
Rather than:
foo-commits at lists.cvsrepository.org
Each project now has a mailing list setup as:
foo-commits at repository.steve.org.uk
Re-Subscribe if you care about tracking commit notice, or
use the RSS feed(s) upon the repository directly.
Instructions on subscribing/unsubscribing may be found here:
http://repository.steve.org.uk/lists/
User Mailing List
-----------------
Previously there was a mailing list accessed at:
xen-tools at lists.cvsrepository.org
That list will be moved to:
xen-tools-discuss at xen-tools.org
If you wish to follow development please subscribe there,
following the instructions here:
http://xen-tools.org/lists/
Timeframe
---------
The lists.cvsrepository.org domain will disappear from
DNS in the next five days..
