Cool!

It might be useful to join forces with the FAI team, which is also
currently working on a new, more flexible, partitioning scheme for
FAI.

Or, for simple things, as I see them at a glance here, just use the
partition_harddisk script from FAI(not sure if there is xfs support),
which already has a simple config file (with the limitation that we
don't have lvm and raid, which you seem not to want and need)...

I include Michael, who is working on this mainly in this reply, but
he's probably not on this list...
@michael: it's about an extended partitioning scheme for xen-tools...
