  OK, I'm happy with that.  I will commit a change to support this
 tonight/tomorrow.  Afterwards I'll look at the caching.

  That leaves two outstanding parts (if I've not forgotten anything):

    * the role script for the account addition en masse.
    * the role script for "simplified" editting of files.

  I'm happy to code the latter, if you don't manage it, but I
 think the password handling one I'll leave to you - since I'm
 not sure precisely how detailed you'd want to be.  (e.g. creating
 home directories, copying ssh keys, group handling, etc etc)

  Does that sound reasonable?
