Which files exactly did you pull from the debian fully virtualized install?
Where exactly did you put these files?
How exactly do your xen config files(most important, the lines  for
"kernel" and "ramdisk"), and your xen-tools config template look like?

And again, what exactly where the error messages you saw?

It doesn't matter where you put them - you only have to set the right
pointers to them in the xen config file.

There is really not much to describe here - but you should know the
basic functionality of all tools involved - that is, you must know how
xen-tools config files and templates work, and how xen config files,
which are generated by xen-tools, work.
This is described in the manuals, which I strongly recommend you to read.

Apart from that, I believe that it's counterproductive that this
discussion is lead through you as mediator, and I don't see why this
happens.
Emails between persons who don't know each other are indirect enough,
adding even more indirection by having you type what your colleague
says, and telling your colleague what I type bears a lot of potential
for misunderstandings and loss of important information on the way.
