You could also prefix you rep with the apt-cacher URL like this :
http://10.0.0.1:3142/ftp.fr.debian.org/...

This the second method to use apt-cacher-ng.


However, It would be interesting to know how apt/deboostrap is invoked from
xen-tools and how to configure them more precisely.
