[xen-tools-discuss] Problem with Lenny image

Hi,
First of all, if this isn't the right location for this question them
I'm sorry and maybe someone can point me elsewhere!
So, that said, I'm running Xen 3.2 on Lenny, using the Debian stable
packages, along with the deb package for xen-tools (3.9-4). I use
xen-create-image to build a Lenny guest DomU, get it started, console in
from Dom0 etc. Networking is bridged and working, that's all fine, but
when I ssh in from outside, after authentication, I get...
PTY allocation request failed on channel 0
stdin: is not a tty
So I poke around the logs and first /etc/default/locale is not there, so
I create it, and then there's no /dev/pts, so I mkdir /dev/pts and mount
devpts /dev/pts -t devpts and now ssh works! So now I script
checking/mounting /dev/pts on boot, but why isn't this happening
automatically as it would on a normal install of Lenny, what's missing?
I saw a previous mention of this around CentOS DomUs (I think), but it
seemed to imply it had been fixed in xen-tools...
Any insight would be much appreciated...
Many thanks,
