Hello,

I am not sure this is the appropriate place, but here it goes 8-)

I have recently updated my debian machine to lenny, and somehow i can
no longer set vifname to use use the same name as the guest domU:

$ xm create host1.cfg
"Error "Device 0 (vif) could not be connected"
$ dmesg
kobject 'vif15.0' cannot be renamed to 'host1' as 'host1' is already
in existence.

I havent found the cause yet, but as a quick solution i changed
vifname to 'vifhost1' and the guest booted fine.
however, as a side effect, bandwidth monitoring with vnstat no longer
works as expected

Is there some kind of way to change the bandwidth monitoring interface name?
should i just do a quick hack on xen-shell instead? (haven't really
looked at the source to be honest)

Thanks

Joao Inacio
