Ah, good.

There is already a role file for that, usable with --role=udev.

I think this start with lenny. I remember that I had quite some boxes
with Dom0 and DomU being Etch and working fine without udev in the
DomU.

Not sure about Lenny DomU on Etch Dom0. Lenny DomU on Squeeze DomU
worked with a recent snapshot in the way that udev has been installed
automatically if I remember correctly.

Debian Squeeze or Sid DomU on Squeeze Dom0 definitely install udev by
default (not only with xen-tools), so there seems no need to do
anything special in xen-tools.

The only thing I can imagine is that debootstrap in Squeeze (which I
use for testing) installs udev also into Lenny while the debootstrap
from Lenny doesn't. In that case I may add the installation of udev in
Lenny DomUs by default.

I probably have to install for other testing purposes a Lenny DomU on
a Lenny Dom0, so I can have a look at that then there, too.

		Kind regards, Axel
