This sounds like the problem I'm hunting since about a week/
Check with "xm list": Is the DomU paused? If so, unpause it with "xm
unpause domainname". Does it fail with "Hotplug scripts not working"
after waiting 100 seconds (counting down from 300s to 200s) for some
devices or so? I also got some XENBUS errors, but when I google for
them, I get a lot of hits from 2007 and 2008 suggesting to add some
kernel modules to the initrd which don't seem to exist anymore in
current (Debian) kernels.
If you have the same problem, the only solution I found so far is
rebooting the Dom0. It will then work for between 1 and 3 DomU boots
and then the problem will start again until you reboot the Dom0 again.
:-(
That problem started on my Xen test Dom0 running Debian Squeeze (aka
Testing) one and a half week ago. I installed Xen 4.0 from Debian
Experimental just a few days before and it started after the first
reboot afterwards. It though didn't stop after uninstalling Xen 4.0
again, so I'm not sure what really causes it.
Any further hints are appreciated.
Kind regards, Axel
