Hi xen-tools-discuss list. I'm gettin some errors trying to install centos-5
in a vm. Dom0 machine is Debian squeeze 64.
I contacted Steve from Debian team asking about rinse and he told me to ask
you.
Is there another way to install centos-5 in a vm avoiding internet
connections?
I'm getting some errors like this:
<<
# xen-create-image --hostname piccolo --ip 10.0.0.3
Setting up root password
Generating a password for the new guest.
Failed to find /etc/passwd in the install.
All done
Installation Summary
---------------------
Hostname : piccolo
Distribution : centos-5
IP-Address(es) : 10.0.0.3
RSA Fingerprint : N/A
Root Password : N/A
>>
So i haven't root pass, and when i log to the centos system, via chroot, i
haven't the passwd command!
# passwd <- missing
I think its a fail of rinse or a bad internet connection.
Any idea?
Regards!
PD: I'm a student from spain.

Sadly not. xen-tools lets you install from an existing copy, a
tarball, or via rinse. But not from CD-ROM.
Unfortunately I'm no longer involved with xen-tools development
and support - instead it has been taken over by another group.
You should be able to get help via the new site:
