Support for CentOS/Fedora is currently broken, yes.

We're happy about every patch or hint, but we see the reason mostly in
the tools currently used for bootstrapping CentOS/Fedora. See for
example http://bugs.debian.org/573390, http://bugs.debian.org/588030

Our long-term plan is to mover over to boot Kickstart initially and
change the host configuration file afterwards.
