This has now been fixed in git with this commit:

Until the new upstream release is out, you can you Jan Wagner's
official backport of xen-tools 4.5 to Debian 7 Wheezy
(https://packages.debian.org/source/oldstable-backports/xen-tools)
which has the initial patch reverse-applied. (Thanks to Jan for
creating and maintaining the backport!)
