</div>I think this start with lenny. I remember that I had quite some boxes<br>
with Dom0 and DomU being Etch and working fine without udev in the<br>
DomU.<br>

Not sure about Lenny DomU on Etch Dom0. Lenny DomU on Squeeze DomU<br>
worked with a recent snapshot in the way that udev has been installed<br>
automatically if I remember correctly.<br>

Debian Squeeze or Sid DomU on Squeeze Dom0 definitely install udev by<br>
default (not only with xen-tools), so there seems no need to do<br>
anything special in xen-tools.<br>

The only thing I can imagine is that debootstrap in Squeeze (which I<br>
use for testing) installs udev also into Lenny while the debootstrap<br>
from Lenny doesn't. In that case I may add the installation of udev in<br>
Lenny DomUs by default.<br>

I probably have to install for other testing purposes a Lenny DomU on<br>
a Lenny Dom0, so I can have a look at that then there, too.<br>
