[xen-tools-dev] Preparing the 4.2 release: code freeze, state of documentation and the .spec file

Hi,

we've got green light[1] for 4.2 (final) going into Debian 6.0 Squeeze
-- if there are no more code changes. So I'd like to announce a code
freeze for the upcoming 4.2 release. :-)

In the last two days I fixed a lot of small issues in the comments and
documentation (mostly outdated stuff), but I fear I haven't found all
such issues.

So I'd be happy someone else could also have a look at especially at
the README file, the comments in etc/xen-tools.conf and maybe some of
the POD in bin/x*.

Another thing I just noticed is that the file misc/xen-tools.spec[2]
seems to be horribly out of date since it refers to version 3.6. (The
last and only commit happened back in July 2007. :-)

Anyone knows or can test if that .spec file still works i.e. would be
fine if we just update the version number in there to 4.2? (A change
in here wouldn't affect the Debian package, so it's excluded from
above mentioned code freeze. :-)

BTW, is there any RPM based distro currently shipping xen-tools? If
so, how does their .spec file look?

		Kind regards, Axel
