One of the first things to do is to rename the 30-fix-inittab file.
Edgy doesn't have inittabs, it has a completely new init sub-system
using a file structure.
Something like 30-disable-gettys would be more in keeping with what it
does across all the architectures.
I did file a few things with the Debian bug reporting system with
Dapper and Edgy which hopefully will have found their way 'upstream'
by now.
I got If you want a look I'm happy to send a diff across, or a tar of
the hooks directory.
