Well we've actually discussed this a bit and this was something that we
know is missing from the website. We are currently considering moving to
some sort of wiki maybe something along the lines of the Dokuwiki that
OpenWrt runs [0].

Could you be a bit more descriptive? Did you download a stable source
package? I would highly recommend that you get the latest version from
our development git repository [1]. You should only have to download
tarball and run make install. Make sure you've satisfied the
dependencies mentioned in the README [2], namely:
* debootstrap
* Perl
* The Perl module "Text::Template"
* The Perl module "Config::IniFiles"
* Make, if you are not installing through a package manager
On most systems you will only need to install Text::Template and
Config::Inifiles.

Nothing other than the dependencies mentioned above. I would again
recommend running the development versions over 4.1. All the development
that has begun after we revived the project happened *AFTER* 4.1.
This also reminds me, that maybe we should setup scripts to either
create nightly tarballs, nightly debs or both. @Axel: Good idea?
All the best,
D.
