  That might be the case, I know a lot of the hosting companies I
 used to follow don't talk about Xen any more, and largely moved to
 KVM.  That might taint my views.

  True, but in the past I used to use xen for spinning up short-lived
 things.  I didn't particularly need a full system, I just wanted
 isolation.  These days, even if isolation isn't perfect, docker is
 what I use.

  Sure thing.  I might have been jumping too far there.  If you're
 happy with small releases every year or two then perhaps that
 status-quo could prevail for a while unless/until there is some
 interest from other maintainers.
